ProFault Fault Logging Software

ProFault is a multiuser, web based, fault-logging system, which allows the user to track faults with both hardware and software. ProFault allows any number of users to simultaneously add, modify and track a limitless number of fault logs.

Each log records such information as client name, contact details, brief description of the fault, a full description, the severity of the fault as well as allowing the user to record almost limitless individual actions carried out by the helpdesk staff whilst trying to resolve the issue.

To assist in the tracking of progress on issues, the user can attach documents of any type to individual actions in a faults response log. This enables subsequent users to keep up-to-date with all aspects of a particular issue.

The user also has access to statistical analysis of fault trend. These fault trend graphs are constantly updated, which gives an instant, accurate picture of the state of the fault issues logged on the system.

ProFault uses a unique book like user interface rather than the usual selection lists and grey dialog windows. The use of this user interface provides an intuitive, familiar way of interacting with the fault log.

Fault logs are viewed by ‘turning’ the pages of the fault log and each fault log has both a contents page and an index page - both automatically generated by the system.

The book style view gives the user a virtual view over the complete fault log. It can instantly be reordered or a section can be excluded or another included without any changes to the underlying fault logs.
