e-tasks are electronic tasks, similar to e-mail but with some important workflow improvements and properties. They are typically used by corporations and teams to track work and allocate tasks via the web using a standard web-browser.

e-tasks have a history, can record hours, and are passed from one ‘person’ to the next in traceable a ‘workflow’ type model. They can be used to track any piece of work or ‘task’ throughout a team (or what we call a ‘task-group’).

If your e-tasks comes back to you and things haven’t been done, send it back with some additional comment from you! The e-task won’t go away until it is either ‘closed’ or ‘cancelled’ or put ‘on hold’ by the originator.

e-tasks don’t require any special software, all that is needed Internet Explorer Web Browser version 5.0 or above (this covers approximately 90% of all web users).
